We are happy to announce the introduction and availability of UBA Naira Debit MasterCard. This debit card can be requested at any UBA branch starting from Wednesday August 22, 2012.

What is UBA Naira Debit MasterCard?

The UBA Naira Debit MasterCard is an internationally acceptable payment card from MasterCard Worldwide. The card is accepted for payment in Nigeria and across the world. It can also be used to purchase goods and services on local and international websites.

The UBA Naira Debit MasterCard is a debit card issued on your Naira account in Nigeria. Thereafter, you can use your card anywhere in the world up to $40,000 or equivalent per annum. You can travel anywhere you want, stay wherever your heart desires and shop online as much as you could. This is what we mean by

What are the allowed transaction limits?
The bank has limited the transactions you can do within 24 hours to protect you. The following are the limits on the UBA Naira Debit MasterCard:

Limits - Amount

Maximum amount you can withdraw from an ATM within 24 hours 150,000

Maximum amount you can spend on a POS within 24 hours 1,000,000

Maximum amount a customer can spend on the Internet within 24 hours 500,000

Maximum amount a customer can spend internationally within a year $40,000
